HISTORICAL MILESTONES
In the 40s
In accordance with the Resolution of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR dated October 14, 1945, and the order of the People's Commissar of Transport Engineering of the USSR dated October 29, 1945, a commission was established for the acceptance of the Konigsberg Car Building Plant. In January 1946, the first employees and managers from different parts of the USSR arrived at the plant.

The date of formation of the Soviet enterprise is considered to be February 24, 1946, the date of the order for the Konigsberg Car Building Plant on the assumption of office by plant director V.P. Gorbunov.

Restoration work at the new enterprise began on March 1, 1946.
The plant produced its first products in April 1946 - the first 5 Soviet dumpcars.
The 50s
In 1951, the production of 1.5-ton battery-powered forklifts, platforms for 15- and 20-ton railway cranes was mastered, in the same year their serial production began, the platforms began to be exported. In 1952, small-scale production of platforms for 25-ton railway cranes began.

In 1956, a scientific and technical society was organized at the plant.
The 60s and 80s
Since 1960, the plant's products have been regularly exhibited at VDNH and a number of international exhibitions.

In 1963, for the first time in the USSR, the Kaliningrad Railcar Factory produced 180-ton dumpcars with a length of 18.5 m, replacing the labor of 200 workers.
In 1967, a large-scale reconstruction of workshops and sites was completed. The production capacity of the plant has increased several times.

In the 1970s and 1980s, forklifts, dumpcars, freight wagons, wagons for transporting hot agglomerate, spare parts for railway transport – these are the main products of this period.

Foreign supplies were carried out to the GDR, Poland, Yugoslavia, Japan, China, Korea.
Dump trucks were supplied to the largest construction sites in the country, including BAM.
The 90s
In the 1990s, the plant produced 27 types of dumpcars with a lifting capacity from 60 to 180 tons, electric loaders with a lifting capacity of 1.5-40 tons, platforms for railway cranes with a lifting capacity of 15-25 tons.
The 2000s
The plant actively expanded its production line and mastered new technologies. The models of KVZ wagons have always differed favorably from their analogues in modern design, high strength and performance characteristics.
The 2010s
In 2012, KVZ JSC independently developed a trolley model 18-3027, and successfully established the production of large-scale casting.
The conducted tests and controlled operation, as well as the technical documentation agreed with JSC VNIIZHT, make it possible to successfully use these trolleys in the designs of 1520 mm gauge wagons.
Present time
KVZ JSC is actively expanding dealer networks and strengthening international relations. Licensing agreements have been signed with major international companies and manufacturers.
